I gave my back to the smiter,<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair;<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

I hid not my face from shame and spitting<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n
Isaiah 50:6<\/em><\/h6>\n

Who hath believed our report?<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant,<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

and as a root out of a dry ground:<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

he hath no form nor comeliness;<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

and when we shall see him,<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

there is no beauty that we should desire him.<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

He is despised and rejected of men;<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

a man of sorrows,<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

and acquainted with grief:<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

and we hid as it were our faces from him;<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

he was despised,<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

and we esteemed him not.<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

Surely he hath borne our griefs,<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

and carried our sorrows:<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

yet we did esteem him stricken,<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

smitten of God,<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

and afflicted.<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

But he was wounded for our transgressions,<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

he was bruised for our iniquities:<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

the chastisement of our peace was upon him;<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

and with his stripes we are healed.<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

All we like sheep have gone astray;<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

we have turned every one to his own way;<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

and the LORD hath laid on him<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

the iniquity of us all.<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

He was oppressed,<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

and he was afflicted,<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

yet he opened not his mouth:<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter,<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb,<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

so he openeth not his mouth.<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n
Isaiah 53:1-7<\/em><\/h6>\n

And he made his grave with the wicked,<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

and with the rich in his death;<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

because he had done no violence,<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

neither was any deceit in his mouth.<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n
Isaiah 53:9<\/em><\/h6>\n

He shall see of the travail of his soul,<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

and shall be satisfied:<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

by his knowledge<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

shall my righteous servant justify many;<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

for he shall bear their iniquities.<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

Therefore will I divide him a portion<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

with the great,<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

and he shall divide the spoil<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

with the strong;<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

because he hath poured out his soul unto death:<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

and he was numbered with the transgressors;<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

and he bare the sin of many,<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

and made intercession for the transgressors.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><\/h3>\n
Isaiah 53:11-12<\/em><\/h6>\n

Incline your ear,<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

and come unto me:<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

hear,<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

and your soul shall live;<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

and I will make an everlasting covenant with you,<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed,<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

saith the LORD,<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

from henceforth and for ever.<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n
